SALEM - Ronald Leupe, 43, a cherished soul known for his warmth and dedication, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Ronald was born on September 18, 1980, in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Ronald and Joanne Potts Leupe.
Ronald was a 2000 graduate of Salem High School. Upon completing his education, Ronald devoted his professional life to the EDI-Central Sheltered Workshop, where he thrived in multiple piece work roles. His colleagues will remember him as a hardworking and reliable team member who brought joy and a sense of camaraderie to the workplace.
A man of many interests and passions, Ronald's zest for life was evident to all who knew him. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Special Olympics. His athletic spirit extended to participating in sports and fishing himself. Ronald's love for cooking was well-known, often experimenting with new recipes and flavors to the delight of his friends and family. Bonfires were a special joy for him, where he enjoyed the warmth of the fire and the company of loved ones. He was a dedicated fan of NASCAR and a fervent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State, Ronald's enthusiasm on game days was infectious.
Around the house, Ronald was the one to whom everyone turned for help with the little things that needed to be done. Whether making repairs, cleaning, or simply lending a hand, he took pride in maintaining a welcoming and orderly home. His four dogs were the recipients of his boundless love and care, each one adored and cherished as a member of the family.
Above all, Ronald's love for his mother was a testament to his character. He was fiercely protective of her, taking pride in waiting on and caring for her with unwavering devotion. His gentle presence and steadfast support were the cornerstones of their relationship.
Ronald Leupe's legacy is one of love, service, and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Survivors include his mother, Joanne Potts; brothers, Kenneth Miller and Brent Miller;his special niece, Kaysen Leigh Berdine; his fur babies, Mater, Cotton, Zaney, and Molly; longtime friends, Rick and Denise Mollenkopf, and Nancy and Laurie Minard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, Ronald Leupe; and grandparents, Ralph and Esther Mae (Arledge) Potts and Karl and Elizabeth Leupe.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
