BELOIT- Ross L. Bartholow Jr., 76, passed away early Easter morning, April 5, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born on July 18, 1949, son of the late Ross and Dorothy Bartholow.
Ross served his country in Vietnam and not long after returning, he met his wife, Patricia. He was a craftsman and built their home at Westville Lake, where they raised their family. Just down the road, he built his business, Westville Lumber.
He found joy in life’s simple traditions. Every spring meant making maple syrup, a ritual that blended patience, skill, and time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, wandering through antique stores, exploring Amish country, making wood crafts, and never passed up a chance for a good donut.
Ross is survived by his wife, Patricia, his daughter, Melanie (Terry) Yeager; son, Daniel (Sarah) Bartholow; grandchildren, Blake Brown and Samantha Martin; sister, Mary Johnson, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carole Charlton, Betty Rutzky, and Janet Phillis.
Ross wished to have no services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
