Samuel "Ken" Kennedy Gordon

Kensington– Samuel Kennedy Gordon, known as Ken, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Hospice House. Born in the heart of Monaghan, Ireland on February 13, 1948, Ken was the oldest son of the late John William and Ann (Kennedy) Gordon.

Ken's academic journey culminated in his graduation from Peoples Bible College in Colorado Springs, where he earned a THB Degree that paved the way for a lifetime of ministry. Ken devoted 18 years to pastoring at three different churches, touching countless lives with his sermons and guidance. His dedication to his faith and his congregation was further exemplified by his licensure with the God Missionary Church Conference in PA. Ken attended Salem Bible Methodist Church.

A man of profound faith, Ken was an avid reader and student of the Bible, always seeking to deepen his understanding and share his insights with others. His passion for scripture was matched only by the love he had for his family.

Ken's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife of nearly 54 years, Eileen Gordon (Brown), whom he married on June 19, 1971. Together, they raised a loving family that includes their three children: Alan and Kara Gordon of Kensington, Roseanne and David Evans of Anderson, IN, and Dawn and Todd Stinebrickner of Selma, IN. Ken was a loving grandfather to Jeffery, Gavan and Alexis; Landon, Brooklynn, Dawson, and Brent Gordon; Zakary and Amelia; Sidney, Dylan, Seth, and Zane Evans; and Kaylee, Matthew, Erin Stinebrickner; and one great-granddaughter, Olive Gordon.

Ken is also survived by his siblings, Elizabeth and Dale Stevenson of Palm Coast, FL, Robert and Donna Gordon of New Philadelphia, OH, and Don and Susan Gordon of Ormond Beach, FL.

Ken was preceded in death by his grandson, Conner Gordon, and his parents.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Winona Friends Church, 4615 Whinnery Rd., Salem. A funeral service to celebrate Ken's life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the church, with a time for friends and family to gather one hour prior.
