Sandra (Brookshire) Hall

COLUMBIANA - Sandra (Brookshire) Hall passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 82 surrounded by her loving family. She had fought heart and kidney disease for many years.

Sandi will be missed greatly by her three children who she was always there for when needed the most, offering support, wisdom, and unconditional love, Tally Hall, of San Pedro, Ca., Lonnis (Denny) Straub, and Laine Hall, all of Columbiana. Her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grammy,” Jason (Jessica) Hall, Nikki and Cody Straub; great grandson, Graham; as well as extended family and lifelong dear friends will also miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eva (John) Donely and Loretta Ashman, and her mother, Lurene Woolf.

Sandi was born and a lifelong resident of Salem, Ohio before spending her final years in Columbiana. Sandi met her husband Pat in Salem, and they were happily married for 61 years until his passing in 2019. Sandi and Pat thoroughly enjoyed their retirement years together supporting all their grandchildren's endeavors. 

Before her retirement she was employed by Robert Bycroft Workshop, Sears, and was a Welcome Wagon Hostess for Salem.

Anyone that knew Sandi knew she was a sun worshiper, spending summers at the Salem Country Club, poolside at Ponce Inlet, FL, or on her patio at Jamestown Trace. She always received many compliments on her beautiful tan that she kept all year long. Sandi's friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was special to her. From phone call chats to lunch and dinner outings, to helping in time of sadness and difficulty.

Sandi was known for her love of baking and always made sure her family had their favorite cookies and birthday cakes.

Her biggest joy was planning big family trips to numerous state parks, various beach vacations, and the annual Labor Day weekend at Guilford Lake.

She has provided all of us with lasting memories to cherish!

No services will be held per her wishes.
