Sandra M. Meyers

SALEM – Sandra M. (Nunie) Meyers, 72, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on June 5, 1953, in Salem, OH, to the late Samuel and June (Carlisle) Youmans. Sandi graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 1971. 

Sandi married Daniel J. Meyers on April 15, 1978.

Sandi worked many kinds of jobs over the span of her life. She was a cook for the Salem City School District for 15 years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also spent 8 years as a tow truck driver for Miller Holesworth in Salem.  

She enjoyed playing softball in her spare time. She was a co-founder of Music for all ages, and she had a part in developing the food pantry in Salem. She was deeply invested in her community and giving back to those in need.

Sandi was a good and faithful servant. She posted daily devotionals and lived her life with a strong sense of faith and a warm, loyal heart.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Daniel (Jim), her daughters, Dorothy (Charles) Wilson and Heather Gates; a stepdaughter, Angel (Brad) Evans; a stepson, Danny (Bryan Majors) Meyers, and seven loving grandchildren. Sandi will also be deeply missed by her sister Sally (Gary Allison) Gednetz and brother Sam (Beka) Youmans. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Rick Gednetz.

Calling hours for Sandi will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1014 E State St, Salem, Ohio. A memorial service will commence at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit, OH, at a later date.
