LISBON - Sundee Marie Shasteen, 38, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her Lisbon, Ohio, home on April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 20, 1986, in Alliance, Ohio, to Ronald Shasteen Sr. and Ella (McFarland) Shasteen, Sundee lived a life marked by joy, compassion, and a spirited passion for the things she loved.
A high school graduate, Sundee went on to share her warmth and generosity with all at the In Christ's Hands Workshop, where she formed lasting bonds and impacted many lives through her work. Sundee carried an infectious enthusiasm that extended to her enjoyment of professional wrestling and her love for video games—pastimes she often shared with friends and family alike.
Her profound love for animals reflected the deep compassion she carried in her heart, a trait that endeared her to all creatures great and small. Sundee's lively and forthright nature, accompanied by her steadfast faith, left a distinguished mark on all who knew her.
Sundee is remembered with immense love by her parents, Ronald and Ella; her brother, Ronald (Morgan) Shasteen Jr.; her sister, Amber (Brian) Westfall; and her nieces, Jazlynn (Jase) and Aliyah Westfall. Her family circle extends to celebrate her life with aunts, Diana Good and Thelma (David) Foreman; cousins, Linsey, with her children Drew and Noah, Autumn, David, Michael, Nicole, Tiffany, and Peewee; as well as her late grandparents, Midge and Clarence McFarland Sr., aunt, Kimberly Swan, and uncle, Jake McFarland, who predeceased her.
Sundee's luminous spirit and benevolent heart will continue to inspire and live on within the many lives she touched. As we bid farewell, we celebrate the unforgettable legacy of love and joy that Sundee Marie Shasteen has left behind.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service led by Pastor Bob Mahull and Pastor Kari Lankford will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery in Leetonia.
