NAVARRE- Wilma Jean Grams, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Altercare of Navarre. Born on April 25, 1931, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Viola (Kyle) Howard.
After graduating from Westmont High School in Johnstown, Pa., Wilma attended Cleveland Bible College, where she met her beloved husband, Robert Grams. The couple united in marriage on August 9, 1952, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared purpose.
Wilma's professional journey included dedicated service as the Secretary of Salem First Friends Church in 1957. She later brought her talents to the corporate world, serving as the office manager for both Salem Valve and Salem Tool.
Wilma's passion for helping others extended beyond her professional life. She volunteered alongside her husband at the surgical unit of the Salem Community Hospital, now known as Salem Regional Medical Center, providing comfort and support to patients and staff alike.
A lifelong member of Salem First Friends Church, Wilma's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Her love for gospel music filled her home and her heart, often serving as the soundtrack to her other hobbies, which included reading and crocheting.
Wilma's legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Robert L. Grams, and their children, Nancy Snyder; Linda (Rob) Shroades, and David (Stephanie) Grams. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and her son-in-law, Ward Snyder.
A funeral service to celebrate Wilma's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Salem First Friends Church, with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating.
